You can stop paying the bill at any time after that, whether it’s after the 24 month financing period or any time before that in which you decide to pay off the remainder of the balance owed on the device. However, if you pay it off early, which you can do at literally any time, the phone will be unlocked at that point as well, free to use with any carrier. ![]() At that point, it’s paid off, unlocked and can be used anywhere. So if you bought a phone from Verizon for $1000, you’d pay $41 per month for two years.
